Roberta's Story
After struggling for twenty years to keep a marriage intact, I am now single and have three grown children. When they entered grade school full time, I returned to college and graduated Magna Cum Laude in Humanities and English, with Distinction from Colorado University. I have enjoyed teaching at both middle and high school levels, and found ten years of fullfillment as professor at the local community college. for my Humanities honor's thesis at CU, and the second trip summer '06 with my daughter. I am now living along the Lakefront, playing the role of artist/photographer while completing my Master's of Art in Art Education at the School at the Art Institute in Chicago, which was ranked by US World and News as the second best program of its kind in America.
Over the years, I've lost contact with close friends, and I've learned these abandoned friendships were among the most valuable possessions I had in my life.
